DIY: Eye Spa at Home

The life brews a trouble to most of us with the under eye areas. It could either be with the dark circles or the wrinkles or the eye bags. Although they can be concealed with beauty products and makeup. That is, however, a temporary solution. For a long run impact you need to pamper them and give them tender love and care with an eye spa.



A sound health from within and proper sleep is the key. If you run in a slipshod way with these two, it is no beauty product and it is no DIY nature’s cure in the world to fetch you results. Drink a plenty of water, get on a well-balanced diet, inculcate a lot of fresh vegetables and fruits to your eating habits, and get for yourself a proper 7-8 hours of sleep.

The bedtime hours are the best time to undergo this eye spa for much better results. Before you proceed with this eye spa at home, make sure your hands and your eye areas are properly cleaned.

INSTRUCTIONS:

1) Eye Cleanser:
Mix rose-water and raw milk together in a ratio of 1:1. Dip a cotton ball into it and gently wipe out your eye areas. Leave the mixture on for 5 minutes and wash off with lukewarm water.

Rose water incorporates good cleansing, toning, and cooling properties while milk consists of lactic acid that works out amazing as a very mild natural cleanser; and hence, an ideal cleanser for your delicate under eye areas.

2) Eye Scrub:
Your under eye area calls for a very gentle scrub. Regular face scrubs should be avoided for the same. To prepare for yourself a natural eye scrub , mix together 1 tablespoon of oats powder with 1 tablespoon of honey. Massage your under area for 5 minutes in gentle circular motions using ring finger. Keep your eyes closed and relaxed during the procedure. Wash off the scrub with cold water.

Oats comprises saponins, that are enriched in mild cleansing agents and works out effective in removing dead cells. Honey turns out as a natural humectant to moisturize the under eye area.

3) Eye Massage Oil / Cream:
Take 2 to 3 drops of sweet almond oil or extra virgin olive oil on your ring finger. Dot it under and over the eye contour area. Massage in gentle circular motion, both clockwise and anti-clockwise, for 10 minutes each. Make sure you are doing it gentle with your skin not been stretched.

4) Eye Mask:
Combine 1 tbsp gram flour, 1 tbsp coffee, a pinch of turmeric, and a little of rose-water to form a paste. The paste is not supposed to be runny. Apply a thick layer of this organic eye mask on your under eye area and leave it on for 30 minutes. Wash it off thoroughly with cold water. Make sure that your skin is not stretched when washing off the pack.



Both gram flour and turmeric contains skin lightening properties, and this makes them an effective natural ingredient for dark circles treatment. Coffee cuts down the puffiness / under eye bags, and also it helps in tightening the skin around the eyes.

When done, follow-up the spa with an under eye cream or oil to moisturize the skin.
