Part your hair slightly off the head center. Section hair starting from the ear front to the crown area. This will give you two hair sections: the larger one and the smaller one. And because the next step involves the smaller section, you can secure the larger section at place using a clip.

Step 3:

Tease the smaller section of your with backward combing.
Note: Teasing damages your hair overtime, so you need to be careful with this. You can, alternatively, use a hair voluminous mousse and blow dry your hair.

Step 4:

Take a one-inch barreled curling iron or a wand and roll your towards the scalp. Lock in your hair using two bobby pins in ‘x’ pattern. Gently remove the curling iron or the wand used, and you will get a hollow ‘o’ like pattern.

Tip: If you have side-swept bangs, part your hair in a way that it lands on the opposite sides of your bangs. If you don’t have bangs, either side of the section will work out.

Step 5:

Repeat steps 3 and 4 on the larger hair section.
PS: If you have straight hair, you could curl the rest of your loose hair using a 2-inch to 3-inch barreled curling iron. Make sure that curls spiral down in vertical sections, and not horizontal.

Tip: The section size is the key to kind of curls you want. Smaller the sections, tighter the curls will be; giving you a great voluminous look. Larger the hair sections, more wavy is the look you get.
